During the first half of 2006, Aalborg Industries welcomed into our Group two international companies that will contribute significantly to strengthening our position within equipment supply and service for the maritime oil & gas market.

The core competences of Gosfern Pty Ltd (now Aalborg Industries Pty Ltd., Australia) are within combustion technology and related control and safety systems, while Smit Gas Systems (now Aalborg Industries Inert Gas Systems B.V., The Netherlands) is the global market leader in inert gas systems with expertise in process, combustion and control technology.

2006 was another record year for the Aalborg Industries Group with the highest turnover ever and a substantial order book for the coming years. The Group's largest marine boiler factory is located in China and will be turning out more than 1,000 boilers in 2007. The Aalborg Industries Group now has more than 2,000 employees worldwide.

Aalborg Industries is the world’s largest marine boiler supplier and holds a significant world market share for thermal fluid heaters, shell & tube heat exchangers, burners and inert gas systems. The Group companies in Brazil, Finland and Denmark supply oil/gas-fired process boilers and waste heat recovery units for industrial applications to countries and segments where they hold a significant market share.
