History

The company was established in 1992 as a joint venture with Nico International and became an independent unit in 1994 as Aalborg Ciserv. In 1995, Aalborg Ciserv acquired Sunrod International and changed the name of the company into Aalborg Sunrod. Thereafter, in 1997 Aalborg Sunrod became a global unit of Aalborg Industries A/S.

The company is located on the premises of the Al Jadaf Shipyard and has a fully stocked tool shop with some repair related production capacity as well as tube & spare parts storage.
